I was born and raised in the suburbs of a mid-sized southern Ontario city, studied math at university, turned for a few years to social work and community development, then came back to computers to make websites for various non-profits.

I have lived in Quebec since 2004, after falling in love with an old friend and moving to Montreal as a result.

When not at the computer, I’m usually with our young kid. Besides that, I sometimes can be found playing the saxophone badly or getting lost in a novel. I wish I had more time to read, make music, and listen to friends make music. While I have my share of bad habits, my most serious vice is the occasional Cadbury creme egg.
