Playing the big gigs

You know Place des arts, the big concert hall downtown? I played there this morning with a band I’m in! At the opening of an art exposition!

Well, an unauthorized art exposition, of photos of a refugee claimant local activists consider to have been maltreated by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. And we were just in the foyer. At least, we were until the cops showed up. And we had already been chased away from the lobby of the building across the street which houses the local CIC offices, where we had tried to flyer bureaucrats on their lunch breaks.

But still: I got to play at the Places des arts! And I didn’t even get arrested. This band is fun.
