Well, that’s better

Discussing my recent post about Québec’s relationship with its immigrant population, this story came up, about a small town which has issued a public notice to inform any potential new residents that in their town they may not stone their women in public or otherwise take advantage of Québec’s overly tolerant approach to the assimilation of new cultures. It’s not exactly a shining example of cross cultural dialogue, to say the least, and it’s attracted media attention from around the world.

I mention this because Stephen has just informed me that a Québec blogueur has created a satirical version of the town’s website. Among other things, the site features the xenophobic song written by the Montréal police officer I mentioned earlier playing in the background. For those who don’t read French, it’s very funny, and completely scathing. Anyways, enjoy.
